Honored by the Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands

Good campsites have grown accustomed to prizes. They are frequently found among the ANWB campsites of the year or the french magazine Camping et Caravaning or even in the Alan Rogers Awards.

But not so many can boast of having received a prize by a representative of the Queen of the Netherlands. It is however the case of Kawan Village Château le Verdoyer who was distinguished in the person of Richard Ausems, its creator.

On October the 5th, Richard Ausems received the Medal of Order of Orange-Nassau (the equivalent of the British Knighthood in the Netherlands) from Mr. Carel de Villeneuve, advisor to the Ambassador of the Netherlands.

This prestigious title was awarded to the founder of the Kawan Village Château le Verdoyer by Queen Beatrix for the work he has done in France for his Dutch fellow citizens. This is a tribute to a man and its campsite that has always played a significant role in our network since the early years.

Of course, the fact that the owner has been awarded the Order of Orange-Nassau does not justify in itself a trip to the Perigord Vert. Nevertheless the work done at the Château le Verdoyer is the best of reason.
