An authentic setting for a menu based around regional specialties
Usually, when people talk about food on a campsite, they think about barbecues or quick-and-easy tomato salads. Instead, they should be thinking of real gastronomy. Because the restaurant of Château le Verdoyer inside the château welcomes you with a rich and delicious menu, including local specialties such as foie gras.
The restaurant has two very different spaces, offering two very different atmospheres.
The one room has the authentic stone walls and is heated by a fireplace from early on in the season or when in autumn the evenings turn chilly. It offers a refined and cozy setting to enjoy your gourmet meals prepared by our chef. The menu covers dishes like homemade foie gras, red mullet salad, a piece of heifer from nearby Saint Saud with mushrooms or duck breast with nuts. A number of the à la carte dishes are based on local (or regional) products such as honey from La Coquille, the veal of Saint Saud or Pineau des Charentes. Even the saffron is from a producer located in Champs Romain, just a few kilometers from the campsite.
The second room of the restaurant is a large bright room overlooking the pond. It is suitable for family meals, and also hosts musical evenings, including the seasonal opening and closing party of the restaurant. This room features a dedicated space for children: with a games table and drawing materials.
When the evenings are mild, it is also possible to enjoy a meal on the terrace, on the banks of the pond.

In addition to its usual menu, available at http://www.verdoyer.fr/en/our-restaurant-menu, the Château le Verdoyer restaurant offers a special "arrival dinner" that costs €13 per person. Available only by booking in advance, this menu covers a simple and fast 3 course dinner with dishes such as pasta bolognese or beef bourguignon. Especially for the evening of your arrival at the campsite.
But in the meantime, while you wait for your holiday to arrive, why don't yoy try your hand at preparing one of our dishes today: the crème brûlée, the foie gras terrine or the confit de canard.
The Terrace of the Bar: Snacks...
There is also an opportunity to eat a quick bite, on the terrace of the bar, in front of the reception: at Snack Bar Les Perroquets!
It offers fries, snacks, pizzas or salads; just a little menu with sweet prices too, just to have a bite while watching the Lenny Disco or the wednesday concert.
